A little cinema on your phone

cineailer was designed to help you discover films currently in theatres and coming soon through their trailers. The burgundy curtains that open when you press Play, the warm projection surface, and the simple controls bring the familiar feeling of going to the cinema to a small digital experience. Trailers play one after another in the same player, and the screening ends with the final trailer.

The screening is your choice

Personalise your watchlist with options for country, genre, release date range, and sorting. Choose the trailer language independently of the interface language; if a Turkish trailer isn’t available, the English version is shown. The film details bring together a synopsis, cast, release date in the selected country, and available IMDb/TMDB ratings.

From idea to working product

The project covered product strategy, experience and interface design, front-end development, and film data integration. The key design decision was to keep the screen at the heart of the experience while making the controls secondary. Matte surfaces, restrained typography, and brief transitions create an interface focused on watching.

cineailer offers interfaces in Turkish and English. It can be used in a desktop browser; on a phone, add it to the home screen to open it like an app. The experience is free and requires no account, with trailers served through the YouTube player.
